How to Cook Pork Caldereta Recipe

A bowl of Pork Caldereta, a rich and hearty Filipino stew. The dish features tender pork chunks in a thick, flavorful tomato-based sauce. Visible in the stew are potato wedges, carrots, and red bell peppers, all simmered together with the pork, creating a savory and slightly spicy flavor. The dish is known for its creamy, slightly sweet, and tangy sauce, commonly served with steamed rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo Pork Ribs
  • Carrots
  • Potato
  • Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • Cheese
  • 1 tbsp. Salt and 1 tsp. Pepper
  • Seasoning Powder
  • Red Bell Pepper
  • Ground Peanuts
  • Sweet Relish Pickles
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Chili (optional)
  • Oil
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • Pineapple tidbits (optional)
  • 500ml of water

Procedures:

  1. Prepare and wash all the Ingredients.
  2. Cut the vegetables in your desire cut.
  3. Sauté onion and Garlic until translucent.
  4. Add the pork Ribs, salt and pepper, soy sauce and water and cover it and let it boil for 15 minutes.
  5. Seasoned with salt, pepper, sugar and seasoning powder. Mix well and cover it.
  6. Add the sweet relish pickles and tomato sauce, Cover it and put in medium fire.
  7. Add the peanuts and ketchup and stir and cover it to boil.
  8. Add the potato and carrots.
  9. Mix well frequently to avoid burning.
  10. Add the chili and bell pepper 10 minutes before cook.
  11. Cover it and wait to cook.
  12. Served with white rice. Enjoy
