Here’s the deal-breaker- there’s no form of diet which could “totally” save you from arthritis… but that doesn’t mean that there’s no list of food you should not eat in order for you to be protected from provoking the inflammation which badly affects the symptoms of arthritis and arthritis itself. Because certainly, there are- and that is what the next minute of your reading will be about.
Arthritis is basically defined as the inflammation of one’s joints that are usually associated with pain and may come in different forms such as osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and one of which that is probably the most common, rheumatoid arthritis. Proper treatment of arthritis is in the form of medications on reducing the pain and inflammation which then could be significantly helped by choosing to avoid high-calorie food and everything which might trigger the swelling and the pain.
But how could you choose to avoid such food if you do not know what to avoid at the first place, right? Therefore, here is a list of the food that must be a big “no-no” for you, dedicated to serve as a help for your arthritis problems.
Corn Oil in Baked Products
Corn oil is regarded as bad for someone experiencing arthritis because this oil has high levels of omega-6 fatty acids. But you may be thinking, oh, aren’t that “omega-thing” good for the health. Well, partly you’re right, as long as it pertains to omega-3 fatty acids. For when it’s the 6-type that is ingested, you’re sure to have inflammation afterwards.
Corn oil could be usually found in products such as baked goods. That’s why, before bringing that product into the counter, make sure you’ve double-checked its main ingredients first.
Well, you don’t want to get full by forsaking your joints afterwards, right?
Goods Composed of Dairy
One another thing in the bakery section that you should make sure to avoid is the dairy products area. If you may ask what’s the problem with dairy, well- it’s critically about the proteins that they contain. This kind of proteins that dairy possess has the capability of making those tissues around your joint react in not-so-nice if not awful way… so you should better get rid of it.
Everything That Is Fried!
Now, that’s not very good news to most of us but if you’re really serious with the goal of reducing the sudden impacts of arthritis, all fried foods should be avoided.
The culprit for this dilemma is the contained advanced glycation end product- which due to the oxidation in the cells it is causing, increases the possibility of inflammation then.
Red Meat (Except The Lean Cuts)
Red meat must be avoided because it has a significant amount of saturated fat, one of which that tops the list of inflammation’s worst enemy. Also, like corn-oil, it contains omega-6 fatty acids.. yeah, the ever unfriendly-omega thing.
But oh, it must be noted that amongst the almost all types of cut of red meat that has the potential to cause inflammation, lean cuts of this meat could magically give you the same benefits without risking your joints after savoring that delicious meal!
Ready-To-Eat Foods
The processed foods never failed to make up the list of food which possibly brings harm, doesn’t it? In regard to this concern, ready-to-eat food, due to the nature of its functionality, generally contains a combination of refined flour, sugar, and even saturated fats which is sure to make your joints raging in inflammation.
Besides from the list of food stated above, let us add one more crucial culprit which could give the impact just as bad as that which is stated above:
Too Much Alcohol and Tobacco
Like any other health concerns, these two are highly recommended to be avoided.
For at the same time your lungs and those of in your surrounding are destroyed as you smoke, so does the possibility of developing arthritis. Specific of which is rheumatoid arthritis. Alcohol on the other hand, although intake of minimal amount of it could result to “possibly” decreasing the risk of developing arthritis, has also been found to critically signal inflammation. That of which is because alcohols cause the production of C-reactive protein (CRP) which is the culprit for the stated harm.
